40th Annual Dwyer Awards for Excellence in Education Presented by Hanley Foundation

Tuesday, May 14, 2024 (5:30 PM - 9:00 PM) (EDT)

Description

The William T. Dwyer Awards for Excellence in Education is an annual program of the Economic Council of Palm Beach County Foundation, recognizing outstanding educators from public and private schools in Palm Beach County. This year is the 40th Anniversary of The Dwyer Awards. The program seeks to increase awareness of the exemplary teaching in our community, while supporting educators and schools with financial awards and encouraging residents to promote high standards of excellence in education.

Awards are given in seven categories: Grow Up Great:  Early Learning Education, Elementary Education, Middle School Education, Senior High Education, STEM Education, Exceptional Student Education, and Student Support & Advancement.

Applicants are judged on their classroom accomplishments, personal education philosophy, leadership and outside of the classroom school-related or community-based activities.  Our judges – nearly 100 business leaders from Palm Beach County evaluate each application in a multi-round judging process and are tasked with the difficult mission to narrow down the applications to only 28 finalists, to ultimately seven winners – one in each category.

The Dwyer Awards will take place on Tuesday, May 14th at 5:30pm at The Kravis Center. Tickets are $45. Please Register to attend.
